I am so happy with my results. I went into this program the heaviest and unhappiest that I have ever been
and while I'm still in the 'heaviest I've ever been' category, I am so much happier and feel so much more in
control of my life and I know that I could not have done that without her help.
I had every confidence that Laura knew what she was talking about with regards to nutrition and physical training but I will admit that at the beginning there were times that Laura would say something and I'd be internally thinking "pfft, yeah, right" only to discover that what she said turned out to be 100% real and true so by the end of the program I would have gone along with anything she said! She truly knew her stuff.
I was an emotional eater, using food as comfort and too afraid to stop because if there wasn't food for comfort then what was there going to be? Eight months later and I'm eating regular meals and snacks with lots of protein and fibre, drinking plenty of water and haven't felt the need to dive face first into a bag of chips or eat my body weight in ice cream, even when things have gotten rocky, and I'm happier than I've been in well over a decade. And yes, I lost weight, but as the program went on, the arbitrary weight loss goal that I'd made when I signed up became less and less important because the other gains that I'd made were so much more important.
I'm still incorporating all the habits that I developed and things that I learned in my day to day , and since my last official check in I've lost more weight. I've learned how happy I can be if I take care of myself properly, and how much better life is when I take care of myself, and in retrospect it was by making changes that seem really simple and obvious but had a fundamentally life-altering impact and with the difference between before and after (mentally if not as much physically) being so profound I don't see that I would ever struggle to maintain these changes.
Working with Laura honestly felt more like a therapist that offered personal training/diet advice than a personal trainer who also offered mental health advice. As well as fixing my eating habits and losing weight and getting fitter and stronger (or maybe because of?) I swear I made more progress with Laura than I did when I was regularly seeing a therapist. She absolutely understood where I was coming from and how my brain worked and was able to tailor the program so that it worked FOR me specifically.

I’ve always experienced small niggles and training related injuries, it’s amazing to have the knowledge and tools that I need to focus on activating and strengthening the right muscles to actually prevent issues and injuries, which has helped me to improve the way that I move my body.

"In March of 2020 I decided that I needed to get my fitness back on track. I wasn’t in a good place and my eczema and food allergies were out of control. I had rashes on my face and body that I could only manage with steroid based medications, my asthma was being triggered and I was lucky if I was getting 3-4 hours of sleep a night. Laura developed a tailored program for me, which consisted of strength based training and nutrition.
I’ve lost about 9kgs and am currently the lowest weight I’ve been in about 10 years! I haven’t used any steroid based medication for months, my asthma is under control and I sleep on average 7 hours a night. But for me it’s been more than ticking the boxes on a goals checklist.
My whole lifestyle has changed for the better. I no longer turn to alcohol as my go to for stress management. I have developed a real appreciation for nourishing my body with good food and seeing the benefits of doing so. Laura has been key for me in this, and a fantastic support through all of it.

Hi Laura, just to thank you for the amazing sessions I enjoyed with you.
I am 67 nearly 68 and have done gym work together with yoga for about 15 years. Last year I had an operation on my right knee where they cleaned up my meniscus as I had 2 tears, one on each side of the knee. I also had a shoulder injury a couple of years ago, calcification of the rotator cuff and of the tendons in my right shoulder. Quite surprising these injuries are on the same side of my body. In our first zoom call, Laura did a mind-muscle session where I had to find/feel and tense the different muscles in my abdomen and legs, e.g. the psoas (not easy to find and tense), the obliques and the glutes. Laura taught me a completely different way of moving.
I have been doing Laura's online courses for a while now and it has changed the way I move, not only when I do the exercises, but by being mindful during my daily chores, gardening, housework, looking after grandchildren, my yoga and more. I now apply the principles in my long walks; I do not suffer any pain or discomfort afterwards in my knees, which I used to in the past.
It has changed my body and mind, I am much stronger and fitter, considering my age, my body 's age is much younger than it used to be. I will follow Laura 's courses with pleasure and curiosity and incorporating these into my lifestyle as well as the nutrition aspect of it.
